Tote-Tally Adorable T-Shirt Bag Tutorial!

T-shirt totes are a great alternative to using paper or plastic bags for shopping plus it allows you to get the most use out of your older tees! You could also use these totes for day-time outings, laundry, trips to the beach, and more!

What you will need:
T-shirt (we used a small and it was a pretty big bag)
Scissors
Plate
Sewing machine
Marker

1. Line up the front and back of the shirt to make sure that the opening of the bag is even.

2. Use the plate and a marker to mark the area you want to cut.

3. Cut out the top of the shirt along the marker lines to create the bag opening. Then cut off the sleeves along the seam.

4. Flip the shirt inside out and line up the bottom of the shirt. Then sew the bottom of the shirt to create the bottom of the tote.

5. Flip the shirt back on the right side and your bag is done!

DIY Shirt Pillow

Stop throwing or giving away your old t-shirts and re-purpose them instead! Whether the shirt has a stain, hole, or is just worn it still can be reused!

Cut out the design of the shirt into the size you want your pillow to be. Make sure to cut both the front and back of the shirt at one time.

Flip your fabric so that the front and back of the shirt are facing each other. It should look the a way shirt does when it is inside out. Next pin the two pieces of fabric together at the edges while leaving a gap just large enough for your hand to fit through. Sew the two pieces together while leaving the gap open.

Flip the empty pillow inside out so that the design is on the right side again.

Then add your pillow stuffing through the gap you created. Finish the pillow by sewing up the gap!

If you don't have a sewing machine you can always sew by hand or use fabric glue or a hot glue gun instead. Please note that you must allow time for the glue to dry and bond the fabric properly!

This is the perfect craft to do with your kids before the celebration begins and it only requires a few materials.

Materials Needed

Any paper size you would like

Glue stick

String of any kind

Directions

Print as many flags as you would like.

Cut out the banner along the dotted lines.
Pre-fold banner at the solid black line.
Place on the string.
Glue the flag shut.
Hang your new banner anywhere!

Fun in the Sun

It's that time of year again! The temperature is rising, the water is getting warmer, and people are swapping out their boots for their flip flops.The beaches are already packed with people eager to soak up summer's first rays. To ensure maximum fun in the sun, you need to have a well-packed beach bag to keep yourself entertained and burn-free!

First and foremost, you need to steer clear from too much sun exposure. Nobody likes the hot, itchy feeling of having a sunburn. Heck, getting burned can ruin your whole vacation!
